Plaza Indonesia Extension
Jakarta, Indonesia The Plaza Indonesia Extension project is the second phase of a super-block development, located at one of the most prestigious intersections in Jakarta. This mixed-use project consists of one 50 story office tower, one 46 story luxury condominium tower, a six level retail podium, and five levels of subterranean parking and building services. The total gross area of construction is approximately 200,000 square meters (2.15 million square. feet). The selected structural system is a composite of structural steel and reinforced concrete. An "up-down" construction method and a perimeter diaphragm wall system were selected to shorten the construction schedule, to minimize the dewatering effort during construction, and to minimize the temporary shoring during excavation. The diaphragm wall would also serve as a protective barrier for the basement. High capacity bored piles and barrette piles form the foundation system for the project. |
