The 30,000 square foot La Quinta Civic Center Complex consists of a unique Council Chamber space adjacent to the Building Department and  to City Officials' offices. The exterior terrace between these spaces is expressed with long span glulam timber framing extending from the sloped glulam timber rafters of the enclosed buildings. The glulam roof system is supported by structural steel framing founded on spread footing foundations.
